Survey Opportunity: Help Shape the Future of Brain Injury Care in Florida 🧠


Have you experienced a brain injury or take care of someone who has?



Brain Injury Florida and the University of Florida are conducting a brain injury survey to identify the needs and challenges faced by Floridians with brain injuries, their caregivers, and their healthcare providers. Survey responses will be used in developing the 2024 Florida State Plan for Brain Injury.

Housing Discrimination Complaint Generator


Are you facing discrimination where you live because of disability, age, race, color, national origin, religion, gender, or familial status? You can file a complaint with HUD (U.S. Housing and Urban Development) using a new free online tool that only takes a few minutes to complete. It was created by our sister agency, Disability Rights Texas (with HUD funding), and you can use this form no matter what state you live in.

Are you facing barriers with Vocational Rehabilitation, Blind Services, or Independent Living services?


Disability Rights Florida is the home of Florida's Client Assistance Program (CAP), and our staff may be able to help!


The Client Assistance Program is a confidential program offered at no cost to you. CAP provides information and assistance to those with disabilities and their families who are involved in vocational rehabilitation and independent living services. Staff at Disability Rights Florida administer the program to empower people with disabilities to understand and exercise their rights to these services.

On the National Disability Rights Network's website, you can learn about federal laws that impact people with disabilities and contact your representative about them through easy-to-use forms.

Disability Rights Florida is here to help you and your loved ones stay safe after a storm.


We can assist you by:

  • Getting access to charging stations for electric wheelchairs
  • Connecting with local support services to help people with disabilities stay in their own homes
  • Addressing housing discrimination based upon disability
  • Transitioning from a shelter back home
  • Locating providers of meals, water, and hygiene supplies
  • Helping people in crisis (i.e. homeless folks), get enrolled onto the iBudget waiver
  • Ensuring that school districts restart special education services in a timely manner
  • Connecting to FEMA to replace damaged accessibility devices
