Longwood Art Gallery Finds New Creative Paths Ahead


After more than two decades of successful partnership, the Bronx Council on the Arts (BCA)’s Longwood Arts Project and its visual arts space, the Longwood Art Gallery, will no longer be housed at the Eugenio Maria de Hostos Community College starting September 2024.

AUGUST 15TH - GRANT INFO SESSION

BRONX CULTURAL VISIONS FUND (BCVF)

Don’t miss the opportunity to obtain a grant of up to $10,000 for the development of a new concept or up to $20,000 for the production of new work in the performing arts. The Letter of Intent (LOI) submission deadline is Monday, August 19th at 11:59 PM.


Applicants are strongly encouraged to attend the last Info Session taking place tomorrow, Thursday, August 15, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM to learn how to submit and LOI and grant-writing tips for the success of your application.

BCA is pleased to announce the opening of the 2025 Community Engagement Grants (CEGs) application cycle on Monday, August 26, 2024. This year, we have simplified the guidelines and the application process by introducing simple instructions and a unified application form for New WorkArts Fund, and Community Arts grants.


The new guidelines in English and Spanish will be available soon. Don’t miss the upcoming Info Session on Monday, September 9, 2024, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM via Zoom to learn about the new application process and more.

Her play, River to River, Soil to Soil is an interactive play that brings to life an altered version of revisiting ghosts past and present through one young woman’s journey in the NYC subway system. Learn more.


Silver Shoes Dance Club is a community-centered creative aging program designed for adults over 60. The organization provides Ballroom and Latin dance classes with the goal of creating stronger and healthier older adult communities. Learn more.
