2024/25 Membership Registration

New season membership registration and club approval application forms are now open. Please read the 2025 registration guides posted on our website's How To Register page.

• 2023/24 memberships expire August 31.

2025 Memberships purchased in August will have a status of future start date. Members in this status are considered registered and active. On September 1, the member status will automatically update to show the active status on the member ID card in Sportlomo profiles and will be valid until August 31, 2025. Future start date and active status members will be able to register for new season clinics (referee and coach clinics) and programs (GO Sports Programs and sanctioned club activities).

The Volleyball Alberta Membership year is September 1 to August 31 of each year. Volleyball Alberta requires Players, Coaches, Referees, and Club Personnel to become members prior to acting within the scope of their duties on behalf of Volleyball Canada (VC), Volleyball Alberta (VA), and affiliated Clubs. An active membership is required to register for any of our programs and events and must have a valid email address.

Volleyball Alberta registrations are all done online on the Volleyball Registration System (VRS) – Powered by SportLoMo since 2021/22.

Club Presidents: Volleyball Alberta will be hosting a Zoom General Training on August 14th at 12noon. If you and/or a club administrator would like to attend, please RSVP to the Zoom Invite sign-up link. We will review Sportlomo, Sterling myBackCheck, The Locker Coach transcript search, Insurance, Hotels and everything mentioned in the written guide for Club Administrators to help Presidents/Administrators with registrations and finding information on volleyballalberta.ca.

Insurance

As of May 3, 2024, please be advised that Volleyball Alberta has recently changed its Insurance Broker to NFP Canada Corp. The limits of liability and coverage remain the same with K&K. New certificates are available for the 2024-2025 term, expiring 2025/06/01.

We ask that clubs submit 1 form with their full list of potential gym rentals needing to be named on the COI in the initial request to lessen the number of emails we need to relay to the insurance office and to speed up the process and turnaround time. The COI request form link can be found on our website > About > Insurance > expand the COI section banner. When listing the facility, city/town, and school board (specific schools do not need to be named; naming the School Board includes all of its schools), please make sure the certificate holder’s Name, Address and Postal Code are included for each. Additional COIs may be requested throughout the season.
