Dayspring will host families from Family Promise starting this Sunday and through August 18. We offer temporary shelter for displaced families while they seek permanent housing. You can help by setting up Sunday school rooms into bedrooms before they arrive for the week, preparing a meal, hosting an evening activity (yoga, music, games, crafts, etc), providing food items for the week, clean up - laundering linens and restoring our Sunday school rooms at the end of the week. Do you love to sing? Have you always wanted to sing in the Dayspring Choir? Now’s a great time! Dayspring has a summer choir that sings in the 10:00 service twice a month. The choir meets at 9:30 the morning of the service (no weekday rehearsals). The summer choir sings this Sunday, July 28, and again on August 25. Email David for more information. 

We invite you to attend a one-hour session with Pastor Jeff to learn more about the United Methodist church and Dayspring specifically, on Sunday, August 18, at 11:45am. Join our Giving Garden team and Master Gardener Angela Judd for a free class on August 28 at 6:30pm in the Palo Verde Room. Companion planting and crop rotation can feel overwhelming for the home gardener, but it doesn't need to be that way. Learn the fundamental principles for successfully implementing these practices for a healthy and productive garden. Angela Judd is creator of the popular blog, "Growing in the Garden." Bible Sunday is coming up on September 15. Dayspring has a tradition of presenting Bibles to all third graders (and older kids who have not yet received Bibles) during the church service. If you would like your child to participate, please email Andrea as soon as possible so she can be sure to order enough Bibles for everyone.

We are hosting a First Aid/CPR/AED training class on Saturday, September 21, from 9:00-noon in the Fellowship Hall. The program cost is covered for the first 25 attendees. This training is open to the public, but spots are limited. Please email Andrea to register.
