Julia Summers started her life as a photographer at the age of eight. She was bullied in school for wearing a patch and seeing with one eye. Her art teacher gave her an old Yashica camera inviting her to capture the world as she saw it. This gift has carried her for sixty-two years and a career as a documentary photographer. Her photos have been seen in Ranger Rick and the International Wildlife Federation along with her contract work for National Geographic.
Join us for this special art exhibit with Featured Artist Julia Summers, and a Community Show of Abstract art in the Madrona Room.

Those seeking to enter health care careers, obtain side income while helping their neighbors, or boost personal care business are invited to get free Home Care Aide (HCA) training through a program offered by the Economic Development Council (EDC) in partnership with Cornerstone Healthcare Training. Students will receive free training, financial support for costs of testing, and counseling to fit HCA certification into a plan for financial success.
