Did you know that broccoli belongs to the same family as cabbage and cauliflower? There are many ways to enjoy broccoli that include steaming, roasting, adding to a stir fry or even enjoying raw!
Both the stem and stock are nutritious. They are a rich source of folate, potassium, vitamins C,K, A, and fibre. Just 1/2 cup of cooked broccoli contains 2 grams of fibre, which helps to feed our friendly gut bacteria and keep our digestive tract healthy.
Storage Tips: It is best to store broccoli unwashed and in the crisper of the fridge. Washing your broccoli prior to storing can cause it to spoil faster.
