Therapeutic Yoga + AUGUST FOCUS: Be Agile - Not Fragile! 

 

  • Practice SUBTLE, Yoga-based moves from head to toe.

Work on a mat OR sit on a chair. 

  • Practice a “Less is More” approach for Ease of Motion and Range of Motion.  
  • Practice Balance - always! 

Please:

-Wear easy slip-off shoes.  

-Bring “grippy” yoga/hospital socks.  

We will work in bare or socked feet - if it is possible for you.  

-Please bring a Mat AND a Beach Towel if you intend to practice on the floor.

Warriors at Ease

Are you a veteran and/or a first responder in Tellico Village? If so, we have a state of the art internationally recognized wellness program designed specifically for you.


The Parks and Recreation Department is excited to provide this internationally recognized wellness/meditation/yoga program specifically for Veterans, Active-Duty Military, and First Responders in Tellico Village. We are honored to have an advisory group of distinguished Veterans and active first responder from Tellico Village working together to assist in designing the program specifically for us.


Our advisory group consists of Bill Butera, Kevin Kuklok, Shawn Tallant, Rick Creange, and Brad Ward. Our program is called “Tellico Warriors”. 


There is no charge for this class and membership is not required. Please sign up on www.schedulepoa.com so we can gauge the number of participants and receive free swag! However, walk-ins are welcome. 


Warriors at Ease will be held at the Yacht Club on the top floor from 8:30am on Fridays.

Set your alarm for 7:15 am on Friday mornings and immerse yourself in the serenity of Sunrise Yoga. No sign-ups are necessary - just bring your positive energy and yoga mat for a blissful start to your day!

New Face at the Wellness Center

You may notice a new face at the Wellness Center. Katie Thacker is joining our personal training team, and you may see her in the evenings or on weekends at the Wellness Center. Katie has a background in nursing with a focus on spinal health. She is a NASM-trained personal trainer. We want to make sure everyone is aware of some additions around the facility. QR codes have been placed in all of our amenities for those looking to quickly make a suggestion, report a problem, or even simply tell us how your experience was at the Wellness Center. They can be found at the table adjacent to our front desk, just inside the Fitness Classroom, out on the pool deck opposite class sign-in, and above the water fountains in the Exercise Room. These may be used as often as you would like. For those of you who prefer not to use a QR code scan, feel free to follow and or use the button on the left

Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance


Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance provides free TOA Injury Assessments to those who live in Tellico Village. 

Injury assessments will now be available 7:00 am-12:00 pm, Monday-Friday at the Wellness Center. If you have aches and pains or have questions about injuries to joints, muscles, or bones, schedule a time to meet with them.

TOA Seminar

Camp Tellico

Another year of Camp Tellico has come and gone! This year's theme was the Wild West! There were 64 children in attendance over the two weeks of camp. We crafted and made tie-dye shirts, had some painting projects, enjoyed the pool, and tried some new sports like tennis and pickleball.

We want to thank all of the volunteers from the Tellico Village Tennis Club and the Tellico Village Pickleball Club for helping to make Camp Tellico such a success.
