NEW LEARNING COHORT FOR SMALL AND GRASSROOTS NONPROFITS COMING THIS FALL

The Nonprofit Network is proud to invite staff, board members, and volunteers of small and grassroots nonprofit organizations serving Linn County to participate in a new three-session learning cohort in fall of 2024. The Cohort begins on Wednesday, September 11, and registration is required. Find details here and register here.

IOWA NONPROFIT ALLIANCE RELEASES 2024 SALARY AND BENEFITS REPORT

The Iowa Nonprofit Alliance has released the 2024 Salary & Benefits Survey Report in partnership with the Larned A. Waterman Iowa Nonprofit Resource Center and nonprofits across the state who participated in the survey. The survey is $360, with discounts available for Iowa Nonprofit Alliance members and survey participants. Find more information here.

AFP EASTERN IOWA ACCEPTING NATIONAL PHILANTHROPY AWARD NOMINATIONS DUE AUGUST 23

The AFP Eastern Iowa Chapter is accepting nominations for six categories of National Philanthropy Day awards to be presented to selected honorees at an Awards Luncheon on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 in Iowa City. Nominations are due on August 23, 2024. Find the application and additional information here.

HORIZONS CONDUCTING MARKET RESEARCH SURVEY FOR NEW SENIOR CENTER PROJECT

Horizons is conducting a consumer market research survey for their new senior center project. They hope to learn more about the need for senior support in our community so they can provide the best programming and amenities to this underserved population. Residents age 55 and older are encouraged the participate in the survey; respondents will be entered in a drawing for a $100 gift card. NATIONAL COUNCIL OF NONPROFITS OFFERS NONPROFIT VOTER ENGAGEMENT GUIDE

The National Council of Nonprofits and Nonprofit VOTE released a guide to help nonprofits engage in voter registration and education. The Nonprofit Voter Engagement Guide provides a roadmap and step-by-step guide for engaging at every stage of the process while remaining strictly nonpartisan. Find the guide here.

2024 IOWA NONPROFIT SUMMIT EXHIBIT BOOTH DISCOUNT IN AUGUST; SUMMIT COMING TO EASTERN IOWA IN OCTOBER

The Iowa Nonprofit Summit will be in held in eastern Iowa for the first time on Tuesday, October 22, 2024. The Summit relies on sponsors and exhibitors to bring this educational opportunity to Iowa's nonprofits. Please contact Bethany Snyder for sponsorship opportunities. Exhibitor space runs $250 for nonprofits, $350 for educational institutions, and $500 for other businesses through August 31st. Prices increase in September and space sold out last year. All groups are held in-person. Please register by the deadline so we can order your lunch. Lunch is provided at no cost. All peer group meetings are held at the Community Foundation office at 324 3rd Street SE, Cedar Rapids, on the first floor.


We currently have four active peer groups. Please find the complete 2024 peer group schedules here.
