Can you believe it’s already August? Time flies when you’re having fun. I hope you all had a great July and were able to get out and enjoy some of the many outdoor events. Summer will be winding down soon and the kids will be heading back to school.
There’s still time to take advantage of some summer events. Be sure to join us for Lisle Uncorked, an outdoor wine event on August 24th at the Museums at Lisle Station Park in Downtown Lisle. This Chamber event includes a variety of wines, spirits, live music, food and more. For those who prefer beer, Bubblehouse Brewing Company will be there with some of their beers. Be sure to visit the Chamber website for more information and order your tickets before prices go up at the gate. You don’t want to miss this event fun summer event!
If you’re looking to network the Chamber has two networking opportunities this month. One August 13th we have a Multi-Chamber Progressive Networking Luncheon. These multi-chamber luncheons are a great way to network with like-minded business owners in other area Chambers. Another networking opportunity is our monthly LINCT meeting on August 21st. The meeting will be held at Brasi’s Pizzeria this month. Bring your business cards and network with other Lisle Chamber members.
Be sure to check the event calendar on the Chamber website and take advantage of all the events and join a committee or two. There’s a variety of committees to join and it’s a great way to get involved in the community, network and grow your business.

AMBASSADOR SPOTLIGHT
Chirag Darji
DnD Transfers
This month’s featured Ambassador is Chirag Darji of DnD Transfers. Chirag has been a Lisle Area Chamber member for over 2 years. In addition to the Ambassador Committee, Chirag is also the Chair of the LINCT Committee. Chirag owns and operates DnD Transfers, a local processing and merchant services organization, specializing in helping business small and large save on credit card processing costs. Chirag is responsible for all activities from Sales to post-setup support. He has been in this field for 3 years.
The best part of being an Ambassador for the Lisle Area Chamber is that it allows Chirag an avenue to speak to business owners about the cost of doing business without being in sales. Everyone in his line of work is focused on sales, whereas Chirag likes to check on Chamber members and new members/businesses within the community to see how their business is doing and what we can do, as a Chamber, to help them grow. In that process, Chirag also gives them information/education about his business and they can find common ground, and partner together. It’s very rewarding as far as a brand building experience.
Chirag lives in Woodridge with his wife and 2 children. His son is 6 and his daughter is 3. When he is not working, he is usually being a jungle gym for his kids. Outside of that, Chirag likes to build things with his hands whenever he gets the chance. He has 4 mantras: Feast upon uncertainty; Fatten upon disappointment; Invigorate in the presence of difficulties; and Enthuse over apparent defeat. Always know, for every 1 door that closes, 2 more open. It just means you weren’t meant to walk through the door that closed!!!

My Father was an avid golfer all of his adult life. Honestly, I haven’t golfed in years, yet I have to admit I still enjoy going to Seven Bridges Golf Club every year for our Annual Golf Outing. Nicholas Haines and his team at Seven Bridges Golf Club are true professionals and work very hard to make sure our outing is successful.
