My Faith Votes In Action

Thankful for support

NC Representative George Cleveland (NC-14) generously contributed to NCFRW for postage to support its Write Now project. That donation means that 400 letters will be sent to Carolinians who do not usually vote.

NC District 3 Chair David Wickersham invited NCFRW President Kay Wildt to its recent meeting so she could thank Representative Cleveland, present the stamps to the Onslow County RW, which is in Representative Cleveland's district, and highlight the great work that clubs are doing to Get Out the Vote with the "Write Now" project!

"Write Now" Project - Iredell County RW

Iredell Co RW President Robin Nicholson invited Associates, friends and family members to kick off their "Write Now" project. For this opening session, 31 volunteers came together for an evening of fun and fellowship, and they completed a total of 500 envelopes that were addressed and stuffed.

The team of writers then prayed with NCFRW Chaplain Margeaux Holland, Chair of the Write Now project, for those who will receive the letters.

"Write Now" - Brunswick County RW

At its August meeting, Brunswick Co RW Club President Debbie Dennis reported that their "Write Now" project is underway with the goal of sending 400 letters.

Several guests attended the meeting and helped complete 100 letters that night, just 300 more to go! Many members of Brunswick RW attended the NCFRW Winter meeting where they met My Faith Votes staff, and the club was inspired to make this project a key part of their campaign activities because they believe in the power of prayer.

President's Message by Kay Wildt

We have so much to rejoice about, and we are humbly grateful and thankful to God for sparing the life of President Trump.

Deepest condolences to the family of heroic Corey Comperatore. Prayers for those injured in the assassination attempt.

If there was one take away from the Republican National Convention, it was this - remember, you are not alone. All across America people just like you and I are deeply concerned about our nation and just as deeply committed to do all within our power to return sanity to the White House.

What will make that return possible? Our platform and our proven record of what life was like under President Trump. Keep telling our story of gas prices, food prices and border security - the issues that affect every single American family.

As President Trump stated, “Sidney Powell was one of millions and millions of people who thought, and in ever increasing numbers still think, correctly, that the 2020 Presidential Election was RIGGED & STOLEN, AND OUR COUNTRY IS BEING ABSOLUTELY DESTROYED BECAUSE OF IT!!!”

For NCFRW members, the events for our Fall Board of Director's Meeting begin on Friday evening, November 15, 2024, with meetings all day Saturday, culminating in the Tribute to Women dinner on Saturday evening. Reflection by Margeaux Holland

“Courage is contagious. When a brave man or woman takes a stand, the spines of others are often stiffened.” Billy Graham

“Lord, for such a time as this, God…thank you that you call us to intercede. To take a stand for others and for our nation. For life and for righteousness. To be standard bearers saying ‘This is the way, walk ye in it.’ In prayer and in action.

Give us the helmet of salvation, the breastplate of righteousness, also, that we

may be girded about with truth and that our steps we take, carry forth peace.

And, Lord that you have given us the sword of the Spirit which is the word of

God…you.”

Your call this month is to pray for all leaders on each side of the aisle. That they

would come to know Him, his love and wisdom and, to do good for the people.

RNC Convention in Milwaukee

North Carolina at the RNC 2024 Convention

How can anyone ever top the 2024 RNC Convention? What an amazing task to plan for 50,000 and bring it off flawlessly. RNC Chairs Michael Whatley and Lara Trump and their committees deserve accolades for the program and a spectacular event.

Thanks to NCGOP Chair Jason Simmons, Vice Chair Susan Mills and their brilliant team, who provided us all with a lifetime of wonderful memories. Kyshia Brassington, RNC Committeewoman and Ed Broyhill, RNC Committeeman worked for months to make this a memorable convention, and we appreciate all you did for us.

The delegation is pictured dressed in seersucker for the opening day of the RNC convention, a tradition of many years. Our NC delegation was one of the largest with 74 delegates and 71 alternate delegates and guests and NCGOP staff.

Our delegation was thankful that we were housed in two hotels in the heart of the convention area. Each morning began with a buffet breakfast where we received our official credentials for the day and were briefed on activities. Our delegation was honored that so many A-list politicians came to speak to us at each day's breakfast - RNC Co-Chairs Michael Whatley and Lara Trump, Speaker Mike Johnson, Vivek Ramaswamy, Dr. Ben Carson, Rep. Dan Bishop, Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson and others. As Dave Wickersham commented, "Just when we thought it couldn't be better, it was!"

The days were filled with exciting events around the town. From receptions to film debuts to an outing on the lake, we were on the go from breakfast until late at night. At the convention itself, the speeches were inspiring and some were frankly heartbreaking.

Our location on the floor was a prime spot, right behind Wisconsin, the host state, and just in front of Ohio, so no wonder the media surrounded us. As the photos show, the convention floor was wall-to-wall delegates and media, in fact, there seemed to be more press than delegates.

All was peaceful thanks to law enforcement officers from around the nation who volunteered to travel to Milwaukee and provide security. When officers learned we were from NC, they told us how much they loved the gift bags of peanuts provided by the Peanut Growers of NE North Carolina.
