THE SECOND EPISODE OF THE

"CULINARY TOUR OF IRAN

WITH CHEF MOJDEH"


The second session of the Culinary Tour of Iran series, Taste of the Central, offered an enchanting evening of Central Iranian cuisine and culture. Held at a private residence in Brentwood and presented by Chef Mojdeh, the event was hosted by Drs. Mitra and Abbas Ardehali. The evening was enriched by the participation of co-hosts Mrs. Katy and Mr. Michael Saei, Mrs. Farzaneh and Mr. Farhad Morshed, and Mrs. Shari and Mr. Hadi Morshed. Their collaboration ensured a warm and inviting atmosphere, complemented by a curated selection of dishes from Shiraz, Yazd, Isfahan, and Kerman.


Adding to the ambiance, guests enjoyed live music featuring performances on the harp and violin, which perfectly complemented the culinary experience. Each dish, crafted with care by Chef Mojdeh, provided a flavorful exploration of Central Iran's rich gastronomic traditions.



This session was a highlight of the IAW Foundation’s ongoing series, celebrating the diverse and aromatic world of Iranian cuisine while offering a memorable musical accompaniment.

About Sahar

Sahar Mohammadi Boroujerdi is an acclaimed Iranian traditional vocalist, known for her powerful voice and graceful stage presence. She began her musical journey at the age of 15 by learning the "Setar" before transitioning to singing. Today, she is recognized as one of the most talented vocalists of Iranian traditional music. Sahar has performed at prestigious venues such as Theatre de la Ville and Pierre Boulez Saal and has been featured in international festivals, including the Bozar Music Festival and FEZ Music Festival.

quota at the Asian Qualification Tournament in Tai'an, China, to standing

tall on the global stage. Your resilience and spirit are a beacon of hope for

us all.


Nahid Kiani - Breaking barriers and setting new standards, Nahid

became the first Iranian woman to win a Silver medal at the Olympics in

the 57 kg Taekwondo event. Her gold at the 2023 World Taekwondo

Championships was just the beginning. Nahid, you have shown us that

with hard work and perseverance, the sky is the limit.


Kimia Alizadeh Zonouzi - Although representing Bulgaria, Kimia's

roots and journey as an Iranian-born athlete have touched us all. Winning

a Bronze medal in Taekwondo at the 2024 Olympics, Kimia's courage to

pursue her dreams against all odds continues to inspire women everywhere.

These incredible athletes have not only excelled in their sport, but have also become symbols of strength, resilience, and empowerment for women across Iran and beyond. We are proud of you and grateful for the legacy you are building.
