From the Executive Director


As I wrap up my first month as your Executive Director, I want to express my heartfelt thanks for the warm welcome I’ve received from so many of you. It’s been an exciting start, and I’m energized by the enthusiasm and dedication that each of you brings to our community.


Looking ahead, we have a lot planned for the fall that I’m sure you’ll find both engaging and beneficial. I’m thrilled to announce some key events that we’re particularly excited about: our upcoming Annual Comedy Night promises to be an evening of laughter and connection, and we’re also launching the Year of Dining, where you can win 52 weeks of gift cards to Malden Chamber member restaurants, a value of $1300! Additionally, we are partnering with the Gallery@57 for our inaugural Artisans & Auctions, a unique opportunity to celebrate the Gallery's 5th anniversary while supporting the Chamber.


Additionally, I will be hosting monthly office hours - more information is below.


We’re working hard to create opportunities that will help you grow your businesses and strengthen our local economy. I’m eager to continue building on the Chamber’s successes and exploring new ways to support our members. Let’s make this fall a season of growth, collaboration, and prosperity for us all.

The Malden Chamber of Commerce invites interested members to join the Malden Chamber Social Media Study Group. The purpose of this peer-to-peer Study Group is to build confidence in creating materials for reaching the target market important to your business. This month will be held on August 27th.

We’re excited to celebrate The Gallery’s 5th anniversary with this special online art auction, benefiting the Chamber’s programs. Experience the trip of a lifetime with a tour of Morocco in February 2025. Urban Media Arts (UMA) is partnering with Addi Ouadderou (a Malden resident and friend of UMA) from Moroccan Caravan Tours, to offer an unforgettable travel experience, with proceeds to benefit our community media arts organization. Why go on this trip? Experience Morocco through a reflective lens - UMA will encourage travelers to gather and create media through photos, videos, poetry, journaling or artwork to later create a shared multi-media reflection of the experience. Information session is coming up on August 20th!
