As we begin our 8th school year, we are blessed to serve more students than ever before. Over the years, Connections has grown from:

  • 22 to 86 students in our charter school
  • 8 to 25 high school students and
  • 12 students in our newer adult program

Thank you for partnering with us to make this important work possible. We look forward to sharing with you the ways we’re impacting lives and helping all students achieve their full potential.

Program Spotlight: Drowning Prevention

Drowning is the No. 1 cause of death for childrn with autism, and they are 160 times more likely to drown than neurotypical children, according to the Autism Society.

That’s why swim lessons are included in the curriculum for all Connections students.

β€œOur students learn differently than other kids,” explains instructor Katie Wentley. β€œWe look at the skills they have and their preferences and then use that to motivate our kids to learn essential swim skills. It’s so exciting

to watch their skills and confidence grow!”
