The Caronavirus pandemic has had a profound impact on many professional guitarists in the community. Sacramento Guitar Society will be hosting a livestream event featuring music and commentary from members of SGS as a fundraiser to help these guitarists. Please join us on Friday, August 28, 2020, at 7:00 P.M. and show your support for fellow musicians and teachers!
Strum For Fun Online
Strum For Fun is returning this month! Children and teens meet with an instructor for a weekly "Struminar" to learn the basics of guitar performance and technique. Grab your guitar and join us on Zoom! Meeting keys will be distributed on signup. Stay tuned to the website for the official schedule.
Grants Corner
The Sacramento Guitar Society was awarded three grants by the California Arts Council for our 2020/21 Fiscal Year, and we still need your help to meet our matching funds requirements. We also want to send a big thank-you to those of you who have already donated! It is thanks to your contributions that we are able to continue offering guitar education to our community, free of charge. READ the Press Release.
