Visit a Rec Center
August is the perfect time to check out one of the two FREE fitness centers on campus. All you need is your CWRU ID! The Veale Center, located on The Quad has a pool, track and full fitness center. Wyant, adjacent to the football field, has a full complement of fitness and functional training tools.
Fall Wellness Activities
Registration for on-site Biometric screening will open this month.
In addition to the screening, you will also be able to  complete your Health Risk Appraisal and Tobacco Attestation Forms. Look for links and reminders in The Daily, on our website, on Facebook and in future newsletters.
Oh, Baby!
Because August is National Breastfeeding Month, the Wellness Program reminds new moms and moms to be that we have breastfeeding resources on campus. Along with lactation rooms in many buildings, we have a certified lactation educator, Elizabeth Click, who can help with breastfeeding or breast pump questions. Take a Break with Seated Massage
During three Wednesdays in August, the Wellness Program is working with 121 Fitness to offer seated massage at two campus locations, Thwing Center and Crawford Hall. For only $15, participants receive a relaxing and re-energizing 13 minute massage. There are only 8 spots on each Wednesday between 11 and 1 PM so don't wait too long to register.
LunchWell Starts Today! 
Simple changes to your lunch habits can make a big impact on your health. It is not to late to register, just contact Mary Ann or look for details on the Wellness Website.

In addition to the variety of programs and services the CWRU Wellness Program brings to faculty and staff, your insurance carrier also offers programs to you AND your family. For example, if you completed LivingLean from SelfHelpWorks and think your covered spouse would find it helpful, Anthem also offers this program for free to its members. There are other offerings like discounts for off-site fitness centers and free condition care support.

Exercise and Your Brain 
The physical and emotional benefits of being active are well known. The folks at Wellcast offer a one week experiment designed to get you moving by focusing on your mental state when you workout. Check out this short whiteboard video and then give it a whirl!
