Dear friends in Christ,
Grace and peace be with you! Our EEC teachers have returned for a week of orientation, our staff and lay leaders have been busy planning for upcoming ministries, and our church campus is brimming with energy and excitement as we prepare for the start of another program year. I hope you’ll make plans to join us this weekend for Back-to-School Sunday and the blessing of backpacks at our 10:00 a.m. service. We’ll say special prayers over our students and educators, as we ask God’s blessings on our every endeavor.
As we enter this new season, I want to provide you with a couple of important updates related to our buildings and grounds. First, the Little Church has been freshly painted and the front entry steps have been replaced. I hope you’ll take a moment to admire anew its holiness, charm, and historic beauty! Second, we will soon erect scaffolding outside the Big Church so we can begin to inspect the extent of the termite damage in the steeple and roof areas of the building. We will keep the congregation informed as we learn more about the scope and timeline necessary for repairs. As always, please contact me or one of the wardens with any questions.
On a personal note, I want to reemphasize my deep appreciation for the love and welcome you’ve shown me and my family since we arrived at St. Paul’s nearly a month ago. We feel so very blessed and fortunate to be with you, and we look forward to many wonderful, shared experiences in life and ministry!
Yours in faith and gratitude,
Jody+
