Southeast Second Street

The City of Lee’s Summit is planning to close a section of Southeast Second Street from Southeast Johnson to Southeast Eastridge streets on March 4 until approximately the end of April for stormwater and sanitary sewer work. The detour route includes Southeast Grand Avenue and Southeast Third and Southeast Green streets. 

There will be intermittent closures of Southeast Eastridge at Southeast Second Street for sanitary sewer work.

Northeast Ash Street

The City of Lee’s Summit is planning to close a section of Northeast Ash Street between Northeast Grand Avenue and Northeast Short Street on March 4 for approximately two weeks for stormwater improvements. The detour route includes Northeast Short Street and Northeast Grand Avenue.

Southwest Sampson Road

A section of Southwest Sampson Road between Southwest Hook Road/E 139th Street and Southwest Scherer Road will close on March 4 to through traffic daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for approximately two days for a contractor to complete borings for soil and rock samples.

The full closure will be at the one-lane bridge. The detour route includes Southwest Scherer, Southwest Pryor and Southwest Hook roads.

Northwest Chipman Road

A section of westbound Northwest Chipman Road from Northeast Douglas Street to Northwest Donovan Road will close on March 11 for approximately two months for private utility work. The detour route includes Northeast Douglas Street, Northeast Tudor and Northwest Ward roads. Northwest Commerce Drive and Northwest Main Street will also be closed at Northwest Chipman Road and must be accessed from Northwest Commerce Drive off of Northeast Tudor Road.
