BEWARE OF SCAMS AND PHISHING EMAILS!
It’s easy to think you’d never fall for a scam… until that convincing email from your pastor asks you to respond by email or fill out a seemingly innocent form. Phishing scams are becoming more sophisticated and harder to spot, making it crucial for everyone to stay vigilant and protect their personal information.
If an email you receive from Pastor Zac (or any Atonement staff member) seems oddly worded or raises red flags, proceed with caution. The first step is to look closely at the email address it came from and make sure it is the actual person's email address (ending in @atoneluth.org, for example, NOT atonement.com, kuisdhf893@gmail, or something else.)
Remember, staff members will never ask you for sensitive information via email and will rarely send you a link to click on unless you were already expecting it.
If you are ever in doubt, call or text the person the email appears to be from and confirm before clicking on a link, opening an attached file, or replying.
You can use the button below to check out more information on how to protect yourself from email scams.

SUMMER READING
FOR PARENTS
Don’t Miss It is designed for busy parents! You can just read the left-hand pages!
Parents have approximately 936 weeks from the time their child is born until he or she graduates from high school. It goes by fast! The responsibility to shape a child’s faith and character can seem overwhelming. If you are a parent, you have probably realized by now that you can’t make a toddler share. Can’t force a child to have faith. Can’t compel a teenager to make smart decisions.
But there is something parents can do. They can make this week count. And then do it again, and again.
Don’t Miss It helps parents discover that what they understand about their kids now has the potential to change their kids’ future. If parents don’t miss what’s happening during this phase of their kids’ lives, then maybe kids won’t miss some important things they need to know about life. That’s why what parents do this week matters.
It’s just a phase, and none of us wants to miss it. Pick up your free copy at the Kids & Family Ministries table at the east entrance (check off your name so I know you have it).
