David D.W. Steede II, passed away unexpectedly on the morning of July 18. He was 48. Steede served the Bermuda Conference as Youth Ministries director and pastored the Southampton church. What is "community engagement?" The definitions vary widely. However, for Seventh-day Adventists, it should mirror how Jesus lived while on earth. Yet, many churches have reduced community engagement to annual events, health fairs, and back-to-school giveaways. Is this enough? Read a compelling interview with three Adventists on the front lines of community engagement and be amazed at how much more of an impact you can make in your community.
