AT THE RACES' STREAMING DIVISION SIGNS RIGHTS DEAL WITH BRITISH SPEEDWAY

At The Races today announced that its new in-house streaming division, Sport Mediastream, has agreed a long term deal with Go Speed International (GSI), the exclusive media rights owner of British Speedway racing.

ATR will have the exclusive, worldwide right to produce and distribute all Elite and Premier League fixtures, excluding a minimum of 25 fixtures covered by Sky Sports which holds exclusive live TV rights to Elite and Premier League Speedway in the domestic market.  There are 672 fixtures per season across both Leagues. ATR will deliver an audio/visual service of live and archive races, and data, for betting purposes in both online and retail environments. Under its Sport Mediastream brand, ATR will initially deliver a streaming service for the sport to domestic and international online bookmaker partners across PC, tablet and mobile platforms.

Sport Mediastream will work with GSI to develop and produce dedicated camera coverage infrastructures at various speedway track venues across the country and streamed coverage of major Elite League and Premier League fixtures will be made available to betting shop and online bookmakers in the UK, Ireland and worldwide.

Sport Mediastream, which launched on July 1st 2013, has been developed using the latest technologies to meet the specific demands of the betting industry. 16 bookmaker and media partners have already integrated with the platform which ATR uses to serve over 5 million streams per month with superior latency and picture quality.

Terry Russell, Chief Executive, Go Speed International, said:

"At The Races has demonstrated it has a robust streaming platform able to deliver a high quality service.

"Combined with its existing integrations and specific expertise in the betting industry, we believe they are the ideal partner to help us develop a global streaming and betting proposition for British Speedway."
