Happy Memorial Day! The June Monthly Horoscopes are live, so get a jump-start on the upcoming month, which is PACKED with planetary action--from major planets moving into new signs to TWO powerhouse eclipses that will bring dramatic starts and endings. Wowza! You can probably already feel it coming.

Here's what this week is already bringing on:
On June 1, a solar eclipse in Gemini puts the pedal to the metal. Eclipses bring quick and speedy openings (sometimes accompanied by necessary endings). This particular eclipse is in communicative Gemini, and will help us to initiate projects that involve writing, speaking, DIY projects, and working innovatively with friends and platonic partners.

 On Saturday, June 4, Jupiter will shift from Aries into Taurus, its new home until June 11, 2012.  Jupiter is the planet of luck, expansion, study, and growth; it's also a bit of a gambler. Practical, plodding Taurus is an awkward fit for Jupiter, a bit like putting a wild animal in a harness. Learning to practice restraint will be a huge lesson for the world during this time. Sustainability will trump excess, and we'll need to learn how to scale back, simplify, operate from a plan, and focus on the bottom line. With our dwindling natural resources, it's certainly a lesson we need to learn as a global population.

The last time Jupiter visited Taurus was in 1999, right before the dot com boom turned into a crash and burn scenario. There was a lot of senseless spending going on then: the promise of stock options lured under qualified "executives" looking for a get-rich-quick score. Website launch parties were the de rigueur form of entertainment, often for sites that never even went live! Jupiter in Taurus leveled the playing field, interrupting the 24-hour party, but also restoring a bit of sanity. Twelve years later, we're curious to see how Jupiter in Taurus will show its horns. This time around, perhaps our obsession with the ostentatiously wealthy Housewives and Kardashians will deflate like an old pair of saline implants.

Dreamy Neptune turns retrograde in Pisces on Friday until August 4. Neptune landed in its home sign of Pisces on April 4 of this year, activating our spirituality and creativity in some otherworldly ways. Lest we drift TOO far into the ethereal realm, Neptune's backward turn brings us back to the Earth plane, helping us integrate our visions and process our healing in slow and lasting ways. Neptune will duck back into Aquarius on August 4 for the rest of the year, but will return to Pisces for thirteen solid years in February 2012. Try not to tackle TOO huge a mission over the summer, lest you burn out under the blazing sun. There will still be time to save the world (or your corner of it) next year.
