Bichotte Hermelyn Statement on Mass Shooting in Buffalo
(Brooklyn, NY) -- A suspect is in custody today after a mass shooting at a Buffalo New York grocery store left at least 10 people dead, according to AP sources. The supermarket is in a predominately Black neighborhood, near downtown Buffalo. Authorities are looking into whether white supremacist ideology motivated the suspect. Assemblymember Rodneyse Bichotte Hermelyn issued the following statement:

"Brooklyn is with the people of Buffalo in spirit tonight. I am praying for all the victims of this possible white supremacist attack.

We must pass laws that stop extremism and gun violence from continuously causing chaos in the lives of New Yorkers."
