We join the Missouri Voter Protection Coalition and partners in sponsoring a John Lewis Day of Action event July 17th as we mark the 4th anniversary of the death of the Congressman John Lewis!

People will come together in events across the country to commemorate the late Congressman's life's work to secure voting rights for all people.

The events will highlight the urgency of this moment in our history and will educate, motivate and activate our community to work towards the passage of the  John Lewis Voting Rights Act, the Native American Voting Rights Act, DC Statehood, and the Freedom To Vote Act.

The St. Louis event will take place at the Frankie Freeman Memorial in Keiner Plaza, 4:00-6:00 pm.

One of the most important aspects of the photo ID project is creating an environment where all people are welcomed warmly, treated with patience and compassion, and leave feeling loved and cared for in the short time they are with us.

We live these values in our Hospitality Room.

A self-service, semi-private area where guests can take what they need without judgement.

We need your help to offer drinks, snacks, seasonally appropriate supplies to our clinic clients! There are a variety of ways to support this vital component of our work, click below to learn how to give a tax-deductible gift.

The Missouri State ID Access Coalition is thrilled to host the first annual MO ID Access Summit bringing together advocates, neighbors, lawyers, service providers, students and more to explore the ID access landscape in Missouri.

Anchored by keynote speaker Kat Calvin, Founder and Executive Director of Spread The Vote + Project ID, sessions will delve into the basics of ID access and current disparities, and advocacy skills, preparing participants to take action moving forward to ensure all Missourians have the identification documents they need to thrive.

The Ashrei Foundation supports parents and families by endorsing the Missourians for Healthy Families and Fair Wages initiative to deliver earned paid sick time off and a fair minimum wage to Missouri workers and families.

This initiative will make Missouri the 16th state to guarantee workers a $15 minimum wage and the ability to earn paid sick leave. These policies will impact over 500,000 Missouri families and provide stability for workers and children.

Signaures are being gathered to put this measure on the ballot, giving Missourians a chance to vote for these improvements in the 2024 elections. Learn more here.

Missouri clergy, including Ashrei Founder Rabbi Susan Talve, challenging the state’s abortion ban as a violation of church-state separation announced their intent to appeal the June 14 decision by St. Louis Circuit Court Judge Jason Sengheiser in Rev. Traci Blackmon v. State of Missouri to the Missouri Supreme Court.

The legal team representing the clergy plaintiffs, which includes Americans United for Separation of Church and State, the National Women’s Law Center and local civil rights lawyer Denise Lieberman ,issued a statement noting: “We’re ready to fight all the way to the Missouri Supreme Court to restore Missourians’ reproductive and religious freedom."
