Defending the Faith - Slide - promo.jpg

If you’re a Christian, be prepared to defend your decision to follow Christ. Be prepared to defend your hope or confidence in Christ. You believe that Jesus died for your sins and rose from the grave. That’s amazing! But you don’t have to believe it because the Bible says so. It’s better than that.

Join us this Sunday as wrap up the Defending the Faith sermon series with the message "Reliable Witnesses."

a note from the Health Ministries Team

Thanks to all those who participated in the blood pressure (BP) screening on November 14. The purpose of our “fun” experiment involving BP screening before and after worship, was to encourage everyone to think about a possible relationship between worship and our physical health. Of the 26 who participated, 37.5% had a decrease in BP, 37.5% had the same BP, and 25% had an increase in BP. A simple experiment such as this, cannot truly prove anything, but does make us think about a possible relationship between worship and health. Stress is a major contributor to high BP and heart disease.

Asbury BP Screening.jpg

And so, we encourage everyone to consider two questions:

  1. Do I feel a sense of calmness following attendance at a worship service?
  2. If so, would daily time spent with God, result in a similar sense of calmness?
