Accomplishments and Performances

Sacred Heart students are excelling in their pursuit of the arts, both on and off campus. Thank you to everyone who submitted news about their accomplishments.

ISAS Arts Festival in Austin, TX

Mrs. Brown and Mrs. Dean took 10 talented visual and performing Upper School students to participate in the ISAS Arts Festival in Austin, TX. This year's festival took place at St. Andrews and included 3,000 students from 41 schools in the Southwest region. We were thrilled to see our Sacred Heart sisters from Duchesne school in Houston who also came out to support us in our last show of the festival.

Seven of our students submitted work for adjudication at the festival. Their work was adjudicated by professional artists in their respective fields and was all met constructive feedback and well-earned high praise!

Performing Arts


Wesley M. ‘33 performed in the JPAS production of Willy Wonka February 23-25. She was cast a candy kid and an Oompa Loompa. Wesley’s ASH friends attended the show to support her theatrical performance. Left to right: Abigail Y. ‘33, Wesley M. '33, Annie J. ‘33, Marielle S. ‘33




Rock on Dani! Danielle G. ‘28 sang lead vocals at the School of Rock concert, Weezer v/s Foo Fighters! She also has a great fan base of teachers.



Avery Z. ‘30 will be starring in the Jr. musical production of "Newsies" on Friday, May 10th, 7:30pm and on Sunday, May 12th, 3:30pm at St. Martin's Episcopal School.


Violet C. '30 will be performing as Tweedledum and Dahlia in New Orleans Youth Theatre’s production of Alice in Wonderland. The show will be held at St Martin’s Theatre on May 5th.




Caroline K. ‘28 just wrapped up Moana at Rivertown Theatre, where she played the role of “Chief Ancestor.” This summer she will be performing in two camp productions at Rivertown Theatre, Aladdin and Mean Girls. Additionally, she is honored to be performing in the choir at Carnegie Hall in New York City, accompanying Grammy award winning artist Lauren Daigle for her concert this June.

This fall Evie B. ‘31 applied and was accepted as a member of the le Petit Theatre Teen Council. She participates in meetings and master classes and attends dress rehearsals for all Le Petite Theatre shows this season.  

Dance and Gymnastics

Blythe B. ‘31 and Kennedy S. ‘29 were cast as party girl, bon bon and soldier in the Delta Festival Ballet’s production of the Nutcracker with music by the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra December 16th & 17th at the Mahalia Jackson. The girls performed with Mrs. Carrie Brown.

Emma C. ‘28 auditioned and was selected to perform with the New Orleans Ballet Theater in their May production of Dracula. She also auditioned and was selected to attend summer intensives with NOBT at the intermediate/advanced level and with the Orlando Ballet School for 5 weeks.

Adelyn L. ‘31 will be participating in the New Orleans Ballet Theater Company‘s production of Dracula on May 11 and 12 at the Orpheum Theater.

Norah F. ‘31 is competing in her second year for the Dancers Only Competition Company. After a successful first year on the team she was awarded a solo for the 2024 season. She has performed her solo in four competitions so far this season Rainbow, Platinum, KAR and Movement. In each of these competitions she was awarded First overall in her category. She has also been awarded multiple scholarships to compete in additional competitions. She will compete in the KAR Dance Nationals this summer in Panama City Beach Florida.

Natalia S. ‘32, Penelope G. '32 and Grace C. ‘32 participated in a local gymnastics meet on March 2nd for Nola Gymnastics.

Marielle S. ‘33 will be participating in a dance recital with her friend Wesley M. in June.

Visual Arts

April 19th our ASH community celebrated ASH visual artistry at the Spring Gallery Art Show.  Middle and high school student artworks were displayed in the Colton Performing and Fine Arts Center.  The gallery show also boasted musical  performances and an arts market where student created works were available for purchase.

Callie L. (‘26) was chosen as a Featured Artist for this Louisiana State Archives exhibition and will be honored at Seymore's Student Show on April 25 for her graphite drawing of a mermaid and alligator.
