FRANKLIN PORCHFEST
LESS THAN TWO WEEKS FROM TODAY
We are now less than two weeks from the Franklin PorchFest inaugural event. We are excited to welcome over 50 bands, 20 of which are local Franklin musicians, performing on over 30 porch locations through the Franklin Cultural District and beyond. The PorchFest event kicks off on Saturday, June 1, 2024 from 12:00 - 6:00 PM. The performance schedule and porch locations have been finalized now.
The online PorchFest schedule includes the ability to sort the performance schedule by time or by porch location. Additionally, you can view the performers gallery and learn more about the bands performing.

Thursday, May 16, 9:00pm Live Music by K.O. Trio at 3 Restaurant. The KO Trio brings an eclectic mix of jazz and pop tunes covering Ell Fitzgerald, Diana Krall, Norah Jones, Sade, and Chaka Kahn, to name but a few.
Kymberlee O’Brien is a jazz vocalist and percussionist who hails originally from California, where she performed in world-class jazz clubs along the Pacific Coast Highway, including La Jolla, Santa Barbara, and San Francisco. Jim McCue is a local talented gent who is a versatile guitarist and bass player; and a sideman who plays in various bands/duos in the area. Paul Hoogeveen is a multi-instrumentalist who has performed in nightclubs and at special events throughout New England since the 1980s. He recently returned to playing double bass after a hand injury left him unable to perform Flamenco guitar. Select 3 for information. 3 Restaurant is located at 461 West Central St.

There will also be a small informational display about the Army Air Corps pilot killed in a training incident in Franklin in 1943. FREE. Select Museum for additional information about this event. 10:30am to 11:30am Animal Tales. Ticketed event. Animal and farm themed stories, crafts, and activities. You may book for the entire 6-week session, a select few, or drop in (space limited). Best for 5-10 year olds.
11:00am to 1:00pm Build a Gnome Home. Ticketed event. Gnomes are protectors of gardens, so why not invite them to your yard? This is an open house -style workshop. We will supply basic materials (glue, old pots...) but ask you bring in the majority of the structure. We highly encourage you to bring items you have lying around.

10:30am, Music at the Blissful. A fun family concert. Join us for a fun, high energy music program for children and their grownups! Musician Evan Haller brings the energy to get the whole crowd up and dancing!
1:00pm Honey Tasting. No Registration Required. While supplies last. Bee-lieve it or not, there are HUNDREDS of varieties of honey! This sweet treat is a cornerstone of Local agriculture and we’re going to taste the difference! We’ll start with a brief talk on honey making and
history in Massachusetts followed by an open tasting of 5 local honeys and the grocery store bear. Mark your tasting sheet and bring it to the Circulation desk for a chance to win a sweet treat! This event is made possible by the support of The Friends of the Franklin Library!
