‘A Season of Miracles’ is a multi-cultural collection of holiday tales that celebrate Christmas, Chanukah, and Kwanzaa. Stories within this delightful musical include O. Henry’s The Gift of the Magi, E.T.A. Hoffman’s The Nutcracker, an original tale set in Nigeria entitled The Kwanzaa Kite, and The Chanukah Miracle. The arts, as a core curricular area, are a meaningful component of the Every Student Succeeds Act. Learn more about the opportunities to include the arts as an important dimension of student learning. This session will help school and district leaders to better understand how a consistent commitment to arts education leads to positive school climate, family and community engagement, as well as students’ academic and social-emotional development. This is an opportunity to learn directly from both practitioners and researchers about the impact of arts learning.

Arts Ed NJ is the unified voice for arts education in New Jersey. Arts Ed NJ (previously the New Jersey Arts Education Partnership) was originally founded in 2007 as a cosponsored program of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, with additional support from the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation, New Jersey Department of Education and Music for All Foundation.
