Partner Acknowledgements
Congratulations to the Contra Costa Crisis Center for earning five more years of accreditation from the American Association of Suicidology! We appreciate all the crisis support and services you provide those we work with.
Collaboration in Action!
The Hume Center would like to acknowledge the groundbreaking collaboration started by Dr. Bryan Forrester and Contra Costa Behavioral Health Division. Dr. Forrester is the Team Lead for Contra Costa Behavioral Health Division's CoCo LEAD Plus program in Antioch. Learn more about the program here.

In an effort to increase referrals to CoCo LEAD Plus, Dr. Forrester, brought together staff from HealthRight 360, Antioch Police Department,  Pittsburg Police Department, The Hume Center's Community Support Program East, Bay Area Community Resources, Community Works West, Bay Area Community Services, CORE, Healthcare for the Homeless, Behavioral Health Division, and local community centers, agencies, churches, and charities.

These agencies have all partnered together to do join outreach to people who are homeless in East County. This novel inter-agency effort, utilizing socks, water, and rain jackets as outreach items, resulted in consumers being connected immediately to the correct agency onsite. The team cycles its target location between many areas, services, and locations frequented by the target population and as the team has continued its efforts consistently, they have developed trust with individuals who were not initially wanting services.
