Your Donations at Work
Two Lehigh Valley companies decide to give back to the Mission in two different ways!

People’s Security: People’s Security is new to the Lehigh Valley area but after hearing about the work the Allentown Rescue Mission does, they put together a grant project and donated to the Mission. “We are pleased to be part of a program which provides such vital services. The approach taken by your organization has not only saved lives but has helped many individuals transition into better lives,” says managing director William Calpin.
Buckno Lisicky and Company: Buckno Lisicky and Company donated to the Mission after their company held a $5 dress down day. Each employee also gets to list an organization they would like to donate to and Terri Gist of the Bethlehem office was the winner and her charity was the Allentown Rescue Mission. Buckno Lisicky and Company donates to 4 different organizations throughout the year and we have been grateful to be chosen twice this year!
There are many ways you can give back and these are just two examples. For more ways to donate, visit https://www.allentownrescuemission.org/ways-to-help.
What We Need Most
As the cold weather blows in, our men will still be out working. In order to keep them feeling well and warm, we are asking for a few things. Our men are in need of thermal long- johns, winter working gloves and single serve water bottles. By using your warm heart, you can help keep them warm too! Lives Changed
Greg joined us at the end of the summer. He has some health issues, and he was forced to choose between rent and treatment, he opted for treatment. Unfortunately for him he had no place to go after his release from hospital. That is the point at which many men decide to come to the emergency shelter at the Allentown Rescue Mission. However, Greg didn’t know about us, and so he decided that he would try living in the woods.
