CP Engineers recently was named to the NJBIZ 2023 Best Places to Work list in the Small Companies category. The award recognizes 150 companies across New Jersey that provide an exceptional workplace environment and foster a positive and fulfilling experience from employees’ perspectives. 


The NJBIZ Best Places to Work award reviews companies’ practices, programs and benefits using employee surveys. CP Engineers was selected for the designation based on favorable feedback and high ratings across several core areas, including: ethical standards upheld by leadership, trust and autonomy, salary and benefits, work-life balance and teamwork and collaboration.

Saint Clare’s Health, along with volunteers from New Jersey’s Big Brothers Big Sisters program, recently provided a day of fun for kids at Picatinny Arsenal’s Frog Falls Aquatic Park. Sponsored by Saint Clare’s Health and members of the 2023 Class of LEAD Morris of the Morris County Chamber of Commerce, the kids had a splash-filled day with lunch and giveaways. Saint Clare’s Health partnered with CP Engineers, Picatinny Arsenal, and the law office of Schenck, Price, Smith and King, LLP to make this event possible. Newmark Associates has announced the sale of a commercial real estate property in Mendham's historic business zone, 23 East Main Street, completed by Dennis Giammetta, a real estate professional at the firm. The property, boasting a historic charm, dates back to its construction in 1900 and features a building consisting of approximately 2,100 square feet. The layout includes a first floor dedicated to retail space, while the second floor offers residential accommodations.

Berkeley College has named Patricia “Patty” Bennett Greer (pictured top), JD, as Provost, effective August 7, 2023. Greer joined Berkeley College in 1997 as a faculty member and was promoted to Chair of Paralegal Studies in 2000. Since that time, she has also served as Dean and Campus Operating Officer of Berkeley College Online® and Assessment Coordinator in the School of Professional Studies. As the Chief Academic Officer of the College, the Provost is responsible for the overall academic vision that will contribute to Berkeley College’s future of excellence in career-focused education. Greer holds a Bachelor of Arts from Colgate University, a Master of Arts from the University of Rochester, and a Juris Doctorate from St. John’s University School of Law. 


Berkeley also has been named a recipients of the inaugural NJBIZ Empowering Women Award, honoring companies for their tangible and innovative efforts to advance women in the workplace. Honorees were selected on their records of recruiting, hiring and promoting women; advancing women through community endeavors; and working toward systemic change to combat inequality, among other criteria. Also named among the more than 50 companies selected were Morris County Chamber members the New York Jets and Dress for Success. Pictured on the right is Diane Recinos, Berkeley College President.

Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith & Davis LLP has announced a number of honors for members of the firm. Partner Steven G. Mlenak has been recognized as a 2023 “Forty Under 40” honoree by NJBIZ. Steven chairs the Financial incentives & Economic Development Development Practice Group and co-chairs the Redevelopment and Land Use Department. Jessica M. Carroll and David C. Scott have been selected by the New Jersey Law Journal for inclusion on its 2023 list of “New Leaders of the Bar,” which highlights attorneys yet to reach the age of 40 who bring both notable achievements and outstanding potential to the table in their work in law firms, corporate legal departments, or in other organizations. In addition, the firm announced 59 of its attorneys have been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® 2024, a trademark of Woodward/White, Inc. Spencer Savings Bank is pleased to announce that it has awarded $37,500 in scholarships to local high school graduates. The scholarships are bestowed yearly to exceptional students in New Jersey. The students each received a $1,500 scholarship for college tuition assistance. Since the commencement of the bank’s scholarship program in 2002, over $600,000 in scholarships has been awarded to deserving students throughout the state. In Morris County Kajal Sukhadia of Parsippany Hills High School received a scholarship.

Following a comprehensive national search, the Sisters of St. Dominic have unanimously approved the recommendation of the Caldwell University board of trustees to appoint Jeffrey D. Senese, Ph.D. as its tenth president, succeeding Matthew Whelan.  Jeffrey brings extensive experience in higher education leadership to Caldwell, including having most recently served as President of Saint Leo University in Florida. He also served as a Provost and Vice president for Academic Affairs in several institutions, including Saint Leo University, Cardinal Stritch University and Johnson and Wales University. Senise earned his bachelor’s degree from the Pennsylvania State University, a master of arts degree from Indiana State University and a Ph.D. in criminal justice/research methods/statistics from Michigan State University. 

Two attorneys at McKirdy, Riskin, Olson & DellaPelle, P.C. have been recognized in the 30th edition of The Best Lawyers in America® for 2023-24. This year's Best Lawyers include John Buonocore, Jr. and Anthony DellaPelle. Notably, John has also achieved the distinct honor of being named Lawyer of the Year in Newark for his exceptional contributions to Eminent Domain and Condemnation Law.
