Are You Ready To Be Heard?
Candleman For City Council
I am excited to announce my candidacy to become our district's next representative on the Denver City Council! The residents of Northwest Denver deserve a representative who will put their interests in front of all else, and I believe I am the best person for the job. As a small business owner, who has resided above his candle studio on the corner of 32nd Avenue and Perry Street for the past seven years, I am a permanent fixture in our community. I want to do what is right to move our city forward. In order to do so, the city government of Denver must make strides in order to improve its economic policies, transparency, crime rate, and education system.
As a small businessman, I see firsthand how our city's policies and countless regulations (that seem to be ever-increasing) handicap small businesses and hurt our local economy. I want to do everything I can to make Denver as business friendly as possible.
Denver's city government needs to increase its transparency and make progress to educate its citizens as to what is going on within our government. As your City Councilman, I want to not only serve as a line of communication from my constituents to the government, but also as a conduit from the government back to its citizens, educating our community on issues that our city encounters.
Crime is a serious issue in our district. I want to work to empower our citizens and neighborhoods to make our community safer. We are the first line of defense in protecting our community.
While the Denver City Council does not directly determine education policy, education directly affects our district in many significant ways. As your City Councilman, I will engage with parents, teachers, and students to serve as a line of communication between the Northwest Denver community, the mayor's office, and the Denver School Board.
