A Message From the CEO/CFO

Dear Archway Friends and Family,
As we move through the upcoming fall season and the days become shorter and cooler, let's take a moment to remember our shared goal of improving the lives of those we serve. With this in mind, I refer to our latest members of the Archway Family.
The addition of the Creative Achievements Academy in Vineland to the Archway Programs Family is a testament to our continued growth. The acquisition allows us to share quality services with a new area as we branch out into Cumberland County. I look forward to watching the transformation continue as we fulfill our promise to serve as we provide additional resources and services to students and staff.
The exponential growth of the Just Kids program relieves more parents of their concerns while seeking quality before and after-school childcare after expanding services into Evesham Township.
Increasing enrollment in the Archway Advanced Abilities Day Program shows great promise for a program that offers such a valuable service. The growth and expansion are the direct results of everyone's hard work and dedication to the program and those in our care.
I am proud of the direction of our programs and the work we do and have done to get them there. Thank you for your part in the continued growth and solid reputation of Archway Programs. All of Archway's successes were only possible because of all of you!
I wish everyone the best of what the season offers, and I look forward to working with all of you as we continue to make a difference in our community.
Sincerely,
George Richards

On September 19th, we celebrated IT Professionals Day with a nod to the Archway IT Team. We appreciate their hard work and expertise in keeping us all connected to the outside world and one another. Where would we be without their expertise in troubleshooting our email woes, answering endless tickets, and keeping us safe from viruses and hackers? We are grateful for their continued password retrievals, file location services, printer service, email troubleshooting, and for keeping us connected during work-from-home days.
Thank you, our Archway IT Superheroes, Karen, James, and Zac! We appreciate all you do!

Upper School Celebrates Their First Spirit Week of the 2023-24 School Year
The Upper School students and staff started their first Spirit Week of the 2023-24 school year by wearing blue and white, Archway's school colors. Of course, we also caught a little Eagles Spirit in the house right next to a Dallas Cowboys fan! Brave. Hey, we're all friends here, but seriously, Go E-A-G-L-E-S!
Students and staff recognized Day Two of Spirit Week by wearing hats displaying their favorite sports teams while they wrapped up in their favorite scarves for day three. There were plenty of styles ranging from floral, warm knits, and scarves sporting a favorite team. We even spotted another Cowboys fan in the house.
Tuxes, suits, ties, and dresses were the day's uniform as students and staff dressed in their best for Day Four of Spirit Week, Formal Dress Day. The following day, Crocs ran rampant through the halls of the Upper School in celebration of Spirit Week Day 5, Rock Your Crocs Day! Well, maybe they were walking, and perhaps they were of the New Jersey shoe species, but they were there, and we captured a few on camera before they headed home for the weekend!

Lower School Students and Staff Make a Promise to
Never Forget
| |
Lower School students in Miss Shayla’s Art Class commemorated Patriot Day with their art. Students created special drawings and paintings as a reminder and a promise that we will never forget.
Lower School students started the new school year with an All About Archway Day. In honor of the day, students shared photos and information about themselves, highlighting some of their favorite things, their teachers, and their classroom. Some students shared their favorite food, color, and animal, while others included their favorite season and holiday. Regardless of what they shared, they all shared about themselves; what a great way to get to know each other!
Lower School Celebrates the First Spirit Week of the New
School Year
| |
Lower School students and staff kicked off the first day of Fall Spirit Week 2023 by wearing all shades of green. By the following day, the color theme of the day was red, and everyone adopted a Pirate accent in honor of Day Two of Spirit Week, Talk Like a Pirate Day. All were encouraged to share their best pirate impressions and silliest swaggers. Of course, all the Archway pirates were the friendly sort.
Wednesday marked Day Three of Fall Spirit Week. The color for the day was yellow, an enthusiastic, happy color that rivals the joy in the faces of the students and staff! Thursday, Day Four of Spirit Week, highlighted orange, an optimistic and warm color and a favorite in the autumnal color palette. Friday wrapped up Spirit Week with Wear Your Favorite Fall Color, leaving everyone to choose their own color of the day. The school was awash in a lovely fall palette and highlighted with a happy Friday mood. What a great way to start the weekend.

Students Create Fall Centerpieces in Horticulture Class
Lower School students from Room 13 had their first Horticulture class of the new school year. Ms. Terry and Ms. Linda helped the students make colorful, fun fall centerpieces using old cans, ribbons, fabric, and artificial flowers. The kids learned to cut flowers into various sizes and glue the fabric onto the cans. As a final touch, they wrapped their choice of raffia or ribbon around the can. The students did a wonderful job on the project and were proud of their creative accomplishments. They took the projects home to showcase them in their homes.

Voorhees Ladies Visit Jim Thorpe
Archway’s Voorhees group home Manager, DePonica, and Assistant Manager, Taylor, don’t want anyone in their care to miss out on exciting experiences. They go the extra mile, or in this case, many, many miles. Bright and early Saturday morning, the ladies from our Voorhees group home piled in the van and headed out for an exciting adventure: a road trip to visit Jim Thorpe, PA. They enjoyed the beautiful Pocono mountains and loved riding on the Reading Blue Mountain and Northern Railroad. The ladies had a great time during their trip and were awed by the beautiful mountains, historic buildings, and shops. What a great adventure and an excellent way to spend your Saturday!
