Hall of Thanksgiving, Thanks-Giving Square

Dear fellow architecture enthusiast,

A unique example of one of the world's most influential architects is right here in the middle of downtown Dallas! Philip Johnson's Chapel, Hall and Garden of Thanksgiving is magnificent, and The Thanks-Giving Foundation wants to share it with you! We will hold an open house on Wednesday, April 25th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. for the architecture community to drop by for wine and cheese.

The very informal gathering in the Hall of Thanksgiving will include a tour of the chapel and grounds, as well as an exploration of the original design documents. Enter the Hall on the garden level through the glass doors, at the base of the spiral structure. Click here for more information about Thanks-Giving Square .

During the reception two special exhibitions will be on display at Thanks-Giving Square:

Enoc Perez: Liberty & Restraint showcases two art pieces inspired by the architecture of Philip Johnson, in partnership with Dallas Contemporary .

An Idea Becomes a Place displays original architectural models, artist paintings, and photographs that follow the evolution of Thanks-Giving Square from idea to place.
