Mended Hearts Meeting

Our next meeting is 10 a.m. Saturday, April 6. This in-person event is an open forum to discuss A-fib, heart attack, stent surgery, stroke, valve repair and other heart-related topics. It will be held in the Health Education Center (HEC) 3333 Squalicum Parkway, Bellingham. All Mended Hearts meetings are open to the public at no charge. The Young Mended Hearts group meets at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 24 in the Physicians Dining Room at St. Joseph Medical Center 2901 Squalicum Parkway in Bellingham.


Drop-in for Diabetes Answers

On the first Wednesday of every month from 3:30-4:30 p.m., PeaceHealth is offering a new resource for anyone who has or is concerned about diabetes or pre-diabetes. Stop by to get your questions answered by a certified diabetes care and education specialist. No registration required. Centering Pregnancy Program

If you're expecting a baby, consider joining the Centering Pregnancy Program at the Cordata South clinic in Bellingham. The prenatal care program combines expert healthcare with group support in 10 fun, interactive group appointments with others who are pregnant. Naloxone (also called Narcan®) is a safe and simple medication that reverses the effects of opioid overdose. If someone may be overdosing, call 9-1-1, give naloxone, and perform rescue breathing.
