April Important Dates

Saturday, April 13th, from 8am-11am is our annual rummage sale! Swing by and pick up some new treasures and support our kids!

Sunday, April 14th during the 10:30am service, the kid's choir is helping lead us in worship through song.

Wednesday, April 17th from 6-6:15pm, the kids will be touring the baptistry and learning all about baptism. We hope your kids will join us for this important conversation!

Sunday, MAY 5th (yes, May!), immediately following the 10:30 service, we invite all families to join us in the Fellowship Hall for an end of the year Celebration Luncheon! Please RSVP to Camille if you plan to attend.

Register for VBS Now!

Join us June 10th-14th for VBS 2024, Breaker Rock Beach!! At Breaker Rock Beach, kids will learn to recognize the difference between what the world says is true and what God says is true. They’ll encounter five everyday sayings that sound right, but dangerously miss the truth found in God’s Word. Each day kids will be challenged to know that God’s truth never changes—even when it’s radically different from what some people say. They’ll discover that God does not want them to be conformed to this age, but to be transformed by the renewing of their minds so that they can discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God (Romans 12:2).

Thank you to all those who served at our Spring Festival! We had more than 30 volunteers who interacted with 300 people, most of whom were guests! We had 1750 Easter Eggs, 3,000 pieces of candy, and countless sno-cones and popcorn! Thanks for making this outreach a success!

B'ham Barons

Join us for an afternoon with the Birmingham Barons! The game is at 4pm against the Rocket City Trash Pandas (you read that right!). Tickets are $10 person or $40 family max. This is a great family outing and sure to be an exciting time! Children can run the bases after the game. Please be sure to register early so we can get the best group rates!

Rummage Sale

Do you have items in your house that you have been meaning to get rid of, but never seem to find the time? Is there that one item you are just tired of staring at?.... bring it by RBC because our Rummage Sale is BACK!! Saturday, April 13th, from 8-11am we will be hosting a rummage sale in our very own parking lot. All proceeds help offset the cost of kid's camp!

We'll sell clothes, shoes, furniture, decorations, games, toys, etc. Think of us as a TJMaxx/Home Goods just with used items! Have items too heavy to carry? Email camille@rbcstaff.com and we'll get it taken care of!

Look at the fun we are having!

The younger GAs enjoyed learning about missionaries from Boston during the month of March! This month the GAs, RAs, and Mission Friends will be learning about missionaries in Uganda! Thanks to Kathy Thorsen and Angela Johnson for leading the Younger GAs each week!

In Sunday School the kids have learned about prayer and serving others! The K-2nd graders made a prayer chain out of paper, they each wrote things/people they pray for on paper and then linked them all together. How beautiful to see them invested in prayer! They also served by stuffing eggs for our Spring Festival. Thanks to Suzanne Gunn and Amanda Mullins for leading this class each week!

As we start a new year, I wanted to give everyone a little glossary of terms I commonly use and what they mean!

RBC Kids = all children birth through 5th grade

Preschool= those potty trained through pre-k/those not yet in Kindergarten

K-5th = all kids in grades Kindergarten through 5th grade (this applies until promotion Sunday of the following year)

Kids Worship = Sunday morning programing for children grades K-2, happening during the sermon and for the rest of the service. This is an engaging time for kids to learn.

Preschool Worship/Preschool Extended Care = Sunday morning programming during the service for children potty trained through pre-k/those not yet in Kindergarten. This is a time of play and Bible story reviewing/learning

Extended Care = Care for children birth through potty trained during the Sunday morning service

Nursery = Both the physical location and the care of children birth through potty trained.
