A few weeks ago, I was at a college fair, helping our program team recruit some new high-quality staffers for this upcoming summer. At this particular fair, quite a few other camps from the surrounding area were also doing their best to recruit workers; let’s be honest, it is a full-time job just getting word out that there are endless opportunities when working at camp! I’ve been on countless recruiting affairs throughout my tenure and learned that you always need an excellent way to ‘hook’ a person to stop and talk with you. The most accessible source is candy, so there I was, offering these kids various treats to eat, and when they would take the ‘bait,’ I’d ask them this important question, “Do you want a life-changing experience this summer?” ....

From the 7th-11th and the 14th-18th, Lake Beauty Bible Camp became a quilters haven as over 75 ladies joined us to spend time in fellowship as they worked on various quilt and craft projects. We were blessed to have Sue Dukes come and join us all the way from Ohio to act as a liaison between the Lake Beauty staff and the quilters, as she offered advice on different quilting techniques and led different demos...

Lake Beauty Bible camp is pleased to announce our participation in the Power of Camp Study, in summer 2024. We are part of a group of camps across the country who are part of this project. This ground-breaking study will reveal the strengths and growing areas of Lake Beauty. The Power of Camp Study is based on the methodology of the Effective Camp Project developed by Dr. Jacob Sorenson of Sacred Playgrounds.

Favorite camp memory: Getting married to my wonderful husband in 2022!

Favorite summer activity: Making flowers bouquets, canoeing and campfires.

What drew you to LBBC:I grew up coming to summer camp and loved it, then went to LIT in 2019, Solid Rock in 2020 and summer staff in 2021! Camp has always very special place to me. I am so thankful to get to work here, And to be a part of building God's kingdom!

What is one thing on your bucket list: Going to Israel with my husband!

If you had to eat one meal every day for the rest of your life, it would be:  Pulled pork with mashed potatoes, corn and corn bread.
