Happy April!
It’s officially spring, So it is time to get outside and have some fun. I love this time of year because you have all sorts of different weather and all of the plants are starting to bloom after a long, cold winter. It is time to get out into the great outdoors. In this month’s article, I will be giving you some fun ideas to kick off April.
First, a barbeque! Barbeques are a great way to gather with friends and family to talk, engage in yard games, and eat some delicious food. This is an activity that anyone can do and one of my personal favorites to do before it gets too hot. Here is a list of GJ City Parks, a great location for that spring BBQ!
Second, sports! This is a fun way to stay active and have lots of fun doing it. There are many options like beach volleyball, football, basketball, soccer, tennis, and pickleball. Sports are a great way to learn teamwork and communication skills that can benefit your daily life. Plus, it’s fun to win! For all things athletic, GJ Sports Commission, or if you are looking for more Outdoor Recreation.
Third, gardening and planting. Gardening is a good hobby to have especially in spring! Gardening can be relaxing and quite therapeutic for some people. It helps the Earth in so many ways! You can also get food from your garden providing fresh and healthy ingredients for your kitchen. A few favorite local spots for all things gardening are Bookcliff Gardens, Okagawa Farms, Meadowlark Garden Center, and Mt. Garfield Nursery.
I hope you enjoy this month, it is going to be a lot of fun! So gather with loved ones, play a sport, or pick up a new hobby during the blooming of spring! If you are looking for more ideas, Visit Grand Junction is always a great resource, to view more Springtime Grand Junction Activities.
See you next month!
