Laura Carno
https://fastercolorado.org/
Laura Carno is the Founder & FASTER Colorado Board President. Founded in 2017, Laura has been traveling the state to promote and run this life saving program. When tragedy strikes in a school shooting, Laura has become the go-to for state and national media to bring a calm, reasoned approach to school safety, and how how security teams can keep children safe. Now a new bill at the state legislature is aimed at making the voluntary arming of administrators, teachers, coaches, and janitors even in rural districts impossible.
HB24-1310 is bad legislation and will hurt rather than help your children. https://leg.colorado.gov/bills/hb24-1310.

Letter to Boulder County Republicans
from the Chairwoman
| |
|
Caucus and county assembly have been wrapped up and as we move onto the state assembly the first weekend of April, I am pleased to have met so many new people who want to get involved in the party's work. We held our first Precinct Committee Person training this weekend where our ground game has been activated with some wonderful folks who are ready to get into their community and spread the conservative message as we move into election season.
Out of county assembly came several candidates for several house districts that will primary each other. This goes to show just how engaged our Republican base has become. House District 11 has 2 republican candidates who will be in the primary to run against Rep. Karen McCormick this November. House District 12 has 3 Republican candidates who will be in the primary to run against Rep. Kyle Brown in November. We have a candidate for Boulder County Commissioner for District 2 also.
We are gearing up for election season with a lot of new faces joining our base and there is a lot of work to do in order to bring some common sense back to our politics. Our individual freedoms are on the ballot and we must ensure that our candidates get elected. The cost of living is too high thanks to our far left progressive Democratic legislators, our small businesses are closing their doors because of the stringent regulations imposed by our far left progressive Democratic legislators, and crime continues to be at an all time high because of our far left progressive Democratic legislators. Both the right and the left are ready for a change and with your help we can make this happen come election day!
Please sign up to become an election judge, poll watcher, donate to the party, or volunteer. You can help make a difference in local politics!
In Liberty,
Tara Menza

Jeri Curry
REBUILDING OUR COMMUNITIES AND LIVES
Most of us remember the December 30, 2021 Marshall Fire, the most destructive fire in Colorado history, killing two people, destroying over 1,000 structures and over 6,000 acres burned. After over two years how much progress has been made to the recovery effort? Our guest speaker for April may just have some answers. Jeri Curry is Executive Director and Board Chair of Marshall Restoring Our Community (Marshall ROC), appointed Director in May 2023. Jeri owns Fourth Sector Digital, a strategic communications and management consulting firm, which allowed her the flexibility to support the Marshall Fire recovery efforts as a full-time volunteer before being appointed to Marshall ROC. She has years of experience in media, international development, consulting, government, crisis and humanitarian response and the nonprofit sector. She has worked in more than 40 countries around the world and is passionate about intersection of technology, community, business, and communications. Jeri’s C-Suite* roles include The Washington Post, Northrop Grumman, DoD, Deloitte, Internews and the Internet Society. Jeri is a Boulder native, graduating from Boulder High School and a CU Boulder Alumna. Many of her friends lost homes in the Marshall Fire making her even more committed to helping them and others rebuild their lives and find their way home.

Conversion is an experience but also a metaphor. In Christian and post-Christian societies it affects the way we think about the self and how we might want to change; it also affects how we imagine society changing, in particular through the notion of revolution. But is sudden, radical change really possible in human life? And even if it is, should we desire it?
Join Mark Lilla (Professor of the Humanities at Columbia University) as he explores this topic. His forthcoming book, Ignorance and Bliss: On Wanting Not to Know, will be published by Farrar Straus Giroux in the fall. For more information on Mark Lilla visit marklilla.com. Have you ever wondered if America is becoming a police state?
In a new film, Dinesh D'Souza and Dan Bongino expose the chilling degree to which America is already there, with surveillance of citizens and mass censorship.
“Police State” is a movie that I never wanted to make, because I never wanted America to get to a point where a movie like this needed to be made. I feel like the animal that alerts the herd to approaching danger, so we can take precautionary steps before it is too late.”
