Welcome Back Fellow T&C Families & Friends,

The spring season is well under way, and we are happy to see so many kids out on campus playing and having fun!!!

We are excited to have sports opportunities starting this month for our younger family members with the introduction of our camps for participants aged 2-5. If you haven’t heard, T&C is partnering with Skyhawks Sports Academy to provide sports camps for our Pre-K athletes. For more information, please follow the links below on this newsletter or check it out on the website.   

Sadly, our T&C family suffered a terrible loss this week with the passing of our Past President, Mr. Jim Gottardi. Jim was an instrumental part of our T&C family for two decades, serving our community youth as a coach, commissioner, Optimist board member and club President. His passion for youth sports, friendship, and leadership will be sorely missed by all of us associated with T&C Sports.

I would like to thank all of you that are volunteering your time and energy this year to make T&C Sports possible. Without all of you T&C would not be possible!

In addition to the team sports going on this spring we are excited about several other upcoming T&C events like our Coach Appreciation Day (4/29), and Dell Diamond Night (May 20^th). I encourage you to follow T&C on social media, read our newsletters, and check the website Events page throughout the season to stay informed of other T&C Events.

Please remember to see Spike on May 20th at the Dell Diamond for our T&C Fundraiser Night.

Our T&C players will get to be in the parade on the field led by Spike!

Town and Country Optimist lost one of our best recently with the passing of Jim Gottardi. 

It was about twenty years ago that Jim, and his wife Vicki, introduced their young kids to soccer and basketball at T&C.



Jim, a lifelong athlete, coached his kids' teams, became a sports league commissioner, and eventually joined the T&C Optimist Club. 

Always a strong advocate for kids of all ages and abilities to play sports, Jim was elected to the T&C Board, and served as president of the Club and Foundation in 2017 and 2018. 

We look forward to honoring Jim‘s long and dedicated service with T&C at a later date.
