Looking for a Few More Staff and LEADers

LEAD and Summer Staff

Camp is where courageous leaders, community builders, and change-makers are found and formed! There are two amazing ways young people can have a meaningful summer filled with community, faith, and life-changing experiences.

LEAD is a 4-week program for youth entering 11-12th grade that will empower High Schoolers to grow in leadership skills while shadowing summer staff. Accepted applicants will receive a $3200.00 scholarship to cover program costs and a small weekly spending stipend for the snack canteen.

Sugar Creek is also hiring young adults for counselors, support staff, and leadership positions! Build the skills needed for any professional journey; many positions can be made into custom internships.

Thank you for encouraging young people in your life to consider being part of the amazing ministry of your Bible camp!

In the Barn Horse Teeth Facts

  • Horse teeth take up more space in their heads than their brains.
  • Horse teeth are continually growing. Horses are always grinding and wearing them down when they eat.
  • We can use a horses' teeth to get an idea of how old they are.
  • A foal, baby horse, grows 24 baby teeth also called caps. These caps are lost by age 5.
  • Adult horses have between 36 and 44 teeth. Females (mares) have 36-40 teeth. While males (stallions/geldings) have 40-44.
  • Like people who go to the dentist, horses have their teeth checked once a year. More if they show signs of dental issues. This process called 'floating' is where an equine dental technician removes sharp edges.
