Welcome to our monthly newsletter! With spring in full bloom in Marin County, we're excited to celebrate the season with a special cocktail party next Wednesday, April 26th from 4pm - 7pm. Please join us at our office located in the historic Ross Garage for delicious food from Marche Restaurant, exquisite wines, live music and a talk by local historian and author Scott Fletcher from the Marin History Museum. Scott will give an overview of our 100+ year old office building as well as some interesting historical facts about Kentfield and Ross. We can't wait to catch up with all of you and celebrate the spring season.

As we dive into the spring real estate market, we're seeing a trend of high demand and low inventory, reminiscent of the frenzied markets of 2021 and 2022. The lack of available homes is driving buyers to submit preemptive offers for desirable homes in great locations, often before properties hit the market. Despite the national headlines, our Marin County market has remained resilient. For sellers who properly prepare their homes for market, it is a great time to sell. The chart illustrates just how problematic the lack of inventory has been with sales well under seasonal norms. I came across an article titled "There's Exactly One Good Reason to Buy a House" in The Atlantic this month written by happiness guru Arthur Brooks. The takeaway is that owning a home won't make you happy, but filling it with love and creating cherished memories will. It's a beautiful reminder that the true value of a home goes far beyond its physical features.
