Hello Again Fellow HUGgers!
It's that time of year again here in Panama City Beach... Time for the Spring Breakers to grace our beaches with sun tan lotion and teen spirit. With the arrival of board shorts and bikinis comes increased business and the hustle and bustle of our properties gearing up for the busy season. Speaking of busy....our Spring board meeting is about to get underway for the planning of the much anticipated 2017 HUG Conference.
The spring board meeting is a very important one. Planning in the spring consists of naming and content planning of the breakout sessions as well as time slots and the number of breakouts. Every year we have user lead sessions and every year we need as many users to assist as possible. That means we need you! If you are interested in leading a session this year, contact Rich Morehouse at Rmorehouse@smshug.org. Remember....the registration is free for session leaders AND you will receive a super special gift from the board.

Board Member Bio - Rick Arrington, Co- Chair

Rick Arrington was asked to be Denise Spain's Honorary Co- Chair after our board elections in January. But where did this all start for Rick?
Rick began working for Resort Collection in 2005 as a maintenance man....YES, maintenance man. He soon became an office manager for the Rental Maintenance Department so thus began his "Desk Job" phase as a maintenance employee. In 2011, The Property installed SMS. If any of you were at your company for the install, you know how trying it can be. He was the only person in the maintenance department that helped put together codes for the Maintenance Module. His I.T. Director at the time took notice and quickly offered him a position in the I.T. Department so thus began the "Software Specialist" phase of his career. Since 2011, he has been an SMS Software Specialist, a Data Base Manager, a Director of Systems & Applications, and now the Director of Technical Operations. He blames SMS - Without this software, his career may not have prospered in this way, as well as the connections with many of the good people in the "Host Users Group", and he surely would not have had the awesome experience of being a board member this past 4 years. Thank you Springer Miller and thank you all for being the super folks he has grown to know and love.
Quick Six about Rick:
1)Avid Video gamer - next time you see ask him his game of choice- it's probably not the DOS version of Zelda.
2)Clearly an Audiophile ( he loves all kinds of music)! And has the sound system in the ride to prove it.
3)Dress young, feel young. Do we see a Bedazzler in your future?
4) Multi Year winner for involvement on the SMS community boards- Absolutely Loves the SMS products his property uses.
5)Another dog loving board member
6)Single, so Friday nights are important.
