Dear Members,

We hope you had a meaningful seder or enjoyed a glorious Easter Sunday. For those celebrating the month of Ramadan, we wish you a continued Ramadan Mubarak.

The Board of Directors has been exceptionally busy this first quarter. The Membership Committee, led by board member Eric Benzer, Director of Business Development at Trius Lending, has met multiple times to work on member outreach, recruitment, and retention. If you would like to get involved with a committee, reach out to us and let us know. It's a great way to get involved with the business committee and the Chamber's mission.

While the Chamber has seen much growth and change in the last twelve months, our Marketing Committee has drilled down even further to examine our mission and purpose. This committee has also worked hard to craft a new, updated mission and vision that speak to our goals and membership. Both were carefully crafted and wordsmithed with a group of talented professionals led by Kimberly Fernandez, Owner of Girlkin Lashes in Pikesville. You will see our new mission and vision soon in our communications, website, and publications.

The Greater Baltimore Chamber of Commerce's mission is to promote business, enhance economic well-being, and foster community development.

Spring is my favorite season, and it brings much excitement with it. The Chamber is always looking for new ways to engage our members, help members build their referral network with new faces at events, and support our business community. We recently hosted a very successful March Madness Happy Hour at Jilly's with the Baltimore City Chamber of Commerce. We will also be partnering with the Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce on several spring events. We are working closely with the Baltimore County Department of Planning to bring much-needed revitalization to Pikesville.
