Greetings! President Trump signed Phase 3.5 of coronavirus relief legislation into law today. It includes: $310 billion to refill the small business Paycheck Protection Program. $75 billion for hospitals. $25 billion for testing. Anchoring the bill is $250 billion to replenish a fund to help small- and medium-size businesses with payroll, rent and other expenses. This program provides forgivable loans so businesses can continue paying workers while forced to stay closed for social distancing and stay-at-home orders. You can apply for the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) at any lending institution that is approved to participate in the program through the existing Small Business Administration U.S. (SBA) 7(a) lending program and additional lenders approved by the Department of Treasury . Face Mask Requirement Takes Effect Monday, April 27

Effective Monday, April 27, Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo is ordering people in Harris County to wear masks or facial coverings in public for 30 days. The order applies to adults and to children older than 10. There will be a fine for not abiding by the order, and law enforcement will use their discretion when issuing consequences. The order will be posted at www.readyharris.org/Stay-Home .

The Save Small Business Fund is a grant-making initiative of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation offering short-term relief for small employers in the United States and its territories.
