Greetings!
We are continuing to provide coronavirus updates and resources that may be helpful to you. Please, help us reach as many people as possible by sharing these with your family, friends and neighbors.
We also want to recognize and say thank you to our community businesses that are helping our neighbors. They are truly showing what "Northside Strong" means
–
taking care of each other and getting through times like this TOGETHER.
Gallery Furniture
Is not only providing Grab and Go meals, but has also partnered with Kroger to provide grocery boxes for seniors. Please
visit their page
to find more information on how you can help Gallery Furniture and Jim McIgnvale give back.
El Bollillio Bakery
(2517 Airline Drive) has reopened after being closed for several weeks to allow their employees to shelter and spend time with family. This week they
distributed 5,000 bolillo rolls (10 rolls per vehicle)
in partnership with Pct. 1 Constable Alan Rosen.
Monkey's Tail
(5802 Fulton Street) has partnered with different organizations and businesses to provide free meals to first responders, hospitality workers and others in need.
Another local business,
Amigos Meat
(611 Crosstimbers Street), partnered recently with Monkey's Tail to serve HISD students free lunches! If you or your company would like to donate meals, please email Monkey's Tail at
info@monkeystailhou.com
.
These are just a few of our wonderful, caring Northside businesses who are giving back during this pandemic. If you know of any business or restaurant that deserves recognition, please
let us know
so we may highlight them in our next newsletter.
In addition, please
reach out
to us if you need assistance.
Stay safe, take appropriate steps to limit the spread of COVID-19 and help keep our Northside healthy.
Sincerely,
Rebecca Reyna
Executive Director
