Member Greeting

Dear Fellow ASANorCal Members,

We thank you for supporting the many programs our Northern California Chapter offers and encourage your continued involvement in our dynamic, professional community.

We’re thrilled to present our new monthly newsletter, designed for easy navigation and aimed at keeping all members informed and engaged in ASANorCal’s professional community. In the newsletter, you’ll find links to Upcoming Events and Networking Opportunities, our Education Archive with links to our library of past events and webinars, Event Recap, the Member Highlights Section, and updates and recent news in the Discipline News Section.

Already this year, we’ve hosted a series of inspiring events and seminars, such as the Botticelli talk and tour at the Legion of Honor, a webinar focused on Navigating the IRS, and a discussion on imposter syndrome with Women’s Affinity Group. Coming up next is What’s in a Frame - A private look inside a legendary frame makers studio with renowned gilder Peter Werkhoven on April 29th. Link

Stay tuned for the Networking Social Event, which will include drinks, Snacks, and Conversation and will be announced soon.

If you’d like to get more involved in the chapter, plan events, or join a committee, please contact Lily Yu at msagentart@gmail.com

Warmly,

Gabrielle Selz

Event Recap

Botticelli Talk and Tour at the Legion of Honor. A Gathering of 30 ASA and AAA Appraisers were led through the exhibition by the brilliant curator Dr. Fuiror Rinaldi. Rinaldi elucidated the exhibitions unique aspects, emphasizing the paring of seminal painting with a preliminary sketch or drawings in each gallery. “To help the audience anchor and recompose the ideas and the figures that they see scattered in the drawing.” Renalid said. Here is our group the end of the exhibit surrounding Rinaldi in front of Adoration of the Magi, ca. 1500-1506
