Culinary Tour Of Iran

A Taste of Iran

We are thrilled about the collaboration series between IAWF and Chef Mojdeh. 

In this partnership, we invite our guests to indulge in the

 'Culinary Tour of Iran with Chef Mojdeh' series hosted by IAWF. This collaboration consists of three episodes, each offering an authentic experience of recipes from different regions of Iran.

In the first episode, we journeyed to the picturesque Northern Iran, where guests savored a five-course dinner featuring authentic recipes from various cities. The second episode will transport them to Southern Iran, and, finally, the third episode will offer a taste of Central Iran.

Here's a sneak peek of the first episode. We extend our gratitude to our gracious host, Mojgan Jalali, and co-hosts Kati Saei and Mitra Ardehali. 

Special thanks to Mr and Mrs Khaledi & Bijan Fazeli for providing the exquisite wines that complemented our dinner perfectly.

Iranian Dance Class

Please join us for this amazing dance class hosted by the IAW Foundation. Our mission is to provide a platform for empowerment among Iranian American Women and since dance has always been part of Iranian culture, we are excited to hold a dance class led by the talented Shantel Behroozan. Shantel "uses dance as a tool to heal, to celebrate, to come together, and to empower each other to be free of judgment and fear and to be free within our own bodies". So make sure you bring your dance moves!

The EMRUZ Festival & Iranian Female Composers Association, in partnership with the Iranian American Women Foundation New York Chapter, proudly presented an evening of original compositions by the talented musicians Bahar Badieitabar and Mahya Hamedi.

Attendees experienced their collaborative improvisations with other musicians, which weaved a narrative of empowerment and courage through innovative forms in music making and performance.
