Hello Friends,
Logic suggests that the quantum realms need to be at least as complex as all the matter and life that have arisen from them, if not more so. Yet we continue to make bold claims that we have captured all that complexity, and much of it about 100 years ago, as summarized by the works of Nobel Laureates Bohr, Heisenberg, Schrodinger, Dirac, Feynman, amongst others. An entire quantum computing industry has arisen based on that foundation.
In the face of this I reflect on the successfully received talks delivered at Imperial College of Science & Technology, and of the second incarnation of the 2018 'The Emperor's Quantum Computer' book, burnished now with insightful art. These are merely examples of artifacts that explore the quantum realms in greater depth, underscoring the need for an increase in such endeavors.
And one of these, or a series in quick succession, surely, will have the power to awaken our slumber, and reshape quantum foundations.
Warmly,
Pravir
