April 2024

Volunteers Galore!

April showers may bring May flowers, but April also brings us National Volunteer Week!

National Volunteer Week is celebrated between April 21-27 and provides an opportunity to shine a light on those who selflessly give their time to help make a difference in their community. This week is about recognizing and celebrating the act and spirit of volunteering. As an organization that is highly dependent on volunteers, we are especially grateful for the diverse talents and passions that all our volunteers share with the community each day!

While we are so grateful for all of our past volunteers, we also want to recognize the value of future volunteers! If you are looking for a way to get involved this spring, look no further than Community Thread's annual initiative, Spring into Service!

Spring into Service is a volunteer initiative from May 11 to May 31. Volunteers band together to make a difference in the area but completing projects at local nonprofits. Sign up for a project today by visiting Community Thread Connect - our volunteer database.

Projects will take place between May 11 and May 31. They include a variety of needs from gardening, spring cleanup, sorting items and more. Please check out our website for opportunities and sign ups. All participants will get a T-shirt, an orientation and an opportunity to make a difference.
