DPR Job Fair

DPR Job Fair March 31 @ 3:00 - 6:00 pm at the West River Community Center Dickinson Parks and Recreation will be offering a Job Fair that focuses on all of our open positions. There will be supervisors available for Q & A, as well as offering on the spot job interviews.

Walk with a Doc 

We invite you to join us for Walk with a Doc to be held at 9:00 am on the 2nd & 4th Saturday of each month at WRCC.

Easter Egg Pool Hunt

Plastic eggs will be floating and some will be sinking in the pool. Children ages 2-12 are invited to collect the eggs and exchange them for prizes.

Kids will get to show off their skills in running, jumping and softball throw. GRADES: K-5th. No pre-registration. Registration will be held at the event.

Water Safety Instructor Course 

April 15, 16 & 22, 23

The purpose of this instructor course is to train instructor candidates to teach courses and presentations in the American Red Cross Swimming and Water Safety program including Parent and Child Aquatics, Preschool Aquatics, Learn-to-Swim, Adult Swim, Private Lessons, Water Safety Courses (including Safety Training for Swim Coaches) and Water Safety Presentations.

Lifeguard Certification Course

May 5-7 & 19-21

The purpose of the American Red Cross Lifeguarding Course is to provide entry-level lifeguard participants with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries, and sudden illnesses until emergency medical services (EMS) personnel take over.

Kids Cooking Class

The Kids Cooking Class is designed to teach your children how to be independent in the kitchen while learning basic cooking skills and kitchen safety.

We will have gross motor equipment, building blocks, jumping animals and toys set-up. Children can move about safely in our enclosed MAC gym area and have access to the indoor playground

The only class where you can play with your food! Food Art is a fun way to try new foods and be creative with snacks for your littles.

Facility Orientation Class

The purpose of this 30-minute course is to provide direction in safety, technique, and gym etiquette to youth members, along with anyone interested in learning more about the fitness equipment.

Children ages 2-5 will have the chance to increase their sensory and fine motor skills while getting messy!
